Warranty
Charging Solar Component Warranty
Every Charging Solar system is covered by a 1-year warranty against manufacturer defects in materials and workmanship, on all included components.
This page covers your hardware warranty. Installation workmanship is covered separately by your installer — see How Installation Works.
What's Covered
For 12 months from the date of delivery, Charging Solar will repair or replace, at our discretion, any of the following components found to be defective in materials or workmanship under normal use:
- Solar panels
- Solar inverter
- Battery storage unit (including BMS)
- PV combiner box
- Included cabling, connectors, and mounting hardware
Coverage includes:
- Manufacturing defects present at time of delivery
- Component failure under normal residential/commercial use, not caused by improper installation, misuse, or external damage
- Parts and shipping for approved replacement components within the continental U.S. and Canada
What's Not Covered
- Damage from improper or non-licensed installation
- Damage from severe weather events, fire, flood, or other acts of nature
- Damage from unauthorized modification, misuse, or neglect
- Normal wear and gradual capacity degradation over time (standard for all lithium battery and solar technology)
- Labor costs for diagnosis, removal, or reinstallation performed by your installer (these are covered under your installer's separate workmanship warranty, if applicable)
- Systems installed by anyone other than a licensed electrician/solar installer
- Cosmetic issues that don't affect performance

- We'll review your claim and may ask for additional information or request your installer confirm the system was installed to spec.
- If approved, we'll ship a replacement component directly to you or coordinate with your installer, depending on the part.
- Installation of the replacement part is arranged the same way your original installation was — through your local installer, at your cost unless otherwise covered by their workmanship warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the 1-year warranty cover installation costs if a part fails? No — it covers the replacement component itself. Labor to remove and reinstall a replaced part is arranged through your installer and may or may not be covered under their separate workmanship warranty.
What happens after the 1-year period ends? Components are expected to continue operating well beyond the warranty period under normal use, but repairs or replacements after 12 months would be at your own cost. We can provide replacement components after the warranty period expires.
Is battery capacity loss over time covered? No — gradual capacity degradation is a normal characteristic of all lithium battery technology and is not considered a defect.
Who do I contact if something goes wrong with the physical installation, not the hardware itself? Contact your installer directly — installation quality is covered under their workmanship warranty, not ours.
Do I need to register my warranty? No. Your warranty begins on the delivery date of your system.
